Why We Built This Site
Public access in Georgia still begins with the court that owns the file. The elected Superior Court clerk keeps the running index of filings, parties, settings, and outcomes for Superior matters. Separate offices maintain Magistrate and Probate cases, while a city may keep its own traffic or ordinance docket. The Georgia Judicial Gateway routes users to participating providers, but it does not merge all of those records into one free search. The site brings the verified local contacts, calendars, request methods, and access limits into a single reference.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guides: how criminal dockets and civil dockets are located and read in Oglethorpe County
- Court dates and settings: how to use posted court dates and confirm a setting with the clerk
- Case lookups: how an Oglethorpe case lookup works through local and provider routes
- Record requests: how court records and certified copies are requested from the right custodian
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection to any Georgia court, clerk, or public agency. Those boundaries mean the site cannot perform official court functions:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now
Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
Search Partners
Third-party companies power search boxes that appear on some pages. They control their services, prices, and returned results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee for this site. That support helps fund public access to the reference material, but it does not give the site control over an outside provider or make its result an official Oglethorpe County record.
